Homewood Suites by Hilton Anchorage

I struggled to rate this hotel. As a facility it is a 2 or 3. The room (suite) seemed small, the layout was confusing, the hike from the lobby to see one rooms was a really long ways, the rooms needed updating, or least some repairs and the kitchen equipment was a joke. On the other hand, it was safe and quiet, the breakfast was pretty good (but not hot enough) and the nearest microwave was back in our room. What really impressed me was the service. The staff was really helpful with a couple of issues we had.

Homewood Suites by Hilton is an outstanding hotel! The rooms are spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, offering everything you need for a relaxing stay. The breakfast is great, the location is convenient, and the atmosphere feels warm and welcoming. But what truly makes this place special is the excellence of the entire staff — every employee is professional, kind, and always goes above and beyond to make guests feel at home. Their genuine hospitality turns a good stay into an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!

Good stay at the Homewood Suites. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional, always quick to help with any request. They truly made me feel valued as a guest. The only small hiccup was the one slow elevator and the housekeeping could use improvement, but the helpfulness of the staff more than made up for it. The room was clean, comfortable, and having a kitchen was a huge plus. The free breakfast was also a definite highlight, with plenty of fresh options.

Our stay was amazing, first time in Alaska and it is definitely not our last because every one of the staff made it memorable for us. We hope to come back to visit instead of coming here for a family funeral. Thank you Homewood Suites. I had a great experience at this hotel. Very clean and very inviting. They had a great breakfast and all the staff was very nice. I had one little incident in the restroom and I was going to the front desk to tell them about it and on my way management was already coming into the bathroom to Fix the issue. Cleanliness is super important to me and this place was spotless and well taken care of.

As a business owner myself, business here is booming and thriving. From the hospitality to the staff to the rooms, excellente. Breakfast could be hotter especially it’s winter. But everything else is great. It was a four stars for me but having someone like Sally at the front desk is a full 10, that’s why this gets a five stars review. Sally please keep shinning, your smile is so warm and inviting too, I hope to see you again when I come back next year. Until next time.

I am in the hospitality industry and there's nothing more I appreciate than excellent, friendly and professional service. Ms. Kayla is wonderful. Her patience and kindness makes me happy in my heart. I was a bit displaced/homeless basically due to issues with my shelter, and I had been to other hotels where the staff treated me with contempt and I felt bad. I was already in an uncomfortable situation and their behavior made it even worse. Aside from the excellent staff, the location is nearby great eateries, and main streets that make commuting easy in any direction. The rooms have a mini stove top which I love because I'd rather heat my food on the stove than a microwave.

We always stay here for weekend escapes or special occasions. We love the location, the variety of room choices the free breakfast but especially the pool and jacuzzi. We always call first to make sure the pool/jacuzzi is not closed for updates, repairs or service as over the decades they have been closed. Always lots of free parking and comfortable rooms. Best of all they offer Alaska resident rates during the off season.
